We accept returns on eligible items within 7 days of the confirmed delivery date. To be eligible, your item must meet the condition requirements in section 4.
Returns requested after 7 days of delivery will not be accepted unless the item is defective or damaged, in which case the Consumer Protection Act provisions in section 8 apply.
The following items cannot be returned:
To start a return, email us at customersupport@vintage808info.com within 7 days of delivery with the subject line "Return Request — [Your Order Number]".
Include the following in your email:
We will respond within 2 business days with return instructions. Do not send items back before receiving a return authorisation — unauthorised returns will not be processed.
Important: Returns sent without prior authorisation will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender at their own cost.
Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received:
We reserve the right to refuse a return or charge a restocking fee if the item does not meet these conditions.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to confirm receipt and advise whether your refund has been approved or rejected.
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. PayFast refunds are subject to PayFast's processing timeline.
Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the item was defective or we made an error with your order.
Please note: We do not refund the original shipping fee unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.
We offer exchanges for different sizes or colours where stock is available. To request an exchange, follow the same process as a return (section 3) and specify which item and size you would like in exchange.
Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the requested size or colour is unavailable, we will issue a refund instead.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a defective product or an error on our part, in which case we will cover the cost of the return courier.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service. Vintage808 is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit during a return.
As a South African consumer, you are protected by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA). Nothing in this returns policy limits or overrides your rights under the CPA.
